Technical requirements for cable trays: Steel cable trays, cable trays and ladder racks should preferably be made of cold-rolled steel plates. Hot-rolled steel plates may also be used provided that strength requirements are met. The material should comply with the Q235A steel in the "Technical Conditions for Ordinary Carbon Structural Steel" GB700 standard and meet the relevant provisions of "Cold-Rolled Steel Strips for Ordinary Carbon Structural Steel" GB716 and "Technical Conditions for Thin Steel Plates of Ordinary Carbon Steel and Low Alloy Steel" GB912 standards.

Welding electrodes for manual welding of cable trays should comply with the "Carbon Steel Electrodes" GB5117 standard, preferably using E4300 to E4313 type electrodes. The bolt materials for cable tray accessories should comply with Q235A steel in the "Technical Conditions for Ordinary Carbon Structural Steel" GB700 standard. Fasteners such as rivets should comply with the "Technical Conditions for Hot-Rolled Round Steel for Riveting and Bolting of Ordinary Carbon Steel" GB715 standard. Under the condition of a support/hanger span of 2m and simply supported beams, the rated uniformly distributed load for trays and ladder racks is divided into four levels: Load level A B C D Rated uniformly distributed load kN/m (kgf/m) 0.5 (50) 1.5 (150) 2.0 200 2.5 (250) The structure of cable trays, trays, ladder racks, supports, and hangers should meet the requirements for strength, stiffness, and stability. The load-bearing capacity of cable trays should be verified according to the load test regulations. The value obtained by dividing the load at which the cable tray initially deforms by the safety factor of 1.5 should not be less than the rated uniformly distributed load. Various types of supports and hangers for cable trays should be able to withstand the rated uniformly distributed load and self-weight of the corresponding specifications and layers of trays and ladder racks. Load-bearing accessories such as connecting plates and bolts for cable trays should be compatible with the structural strength of the trays, ladder racks, and support arms. The relative deflection of cable trays, trays, and ladder racks under rated uniformly distributed load should not exceed 1/200. The ratio of the deflection value to the length of the hanger crossbeam or side-wall fixed support arm when bearing the rated load of trays or ladder racks should not exceed 1/100.
The factory should provide deflection values for various specifications and types of trays and ladder racks under different loads and support/hanger spans.
