How to Inspect Sliding Contact Lines - Yangzhou Darui

Darui Electric recommends for you

1. The insulation resistance value between phases of sliding contact lines and flexible cables, and between each phase and ground, must be greater than 0.5MΩ.

Inspection method: Test with a megger, or check test records.

2. The distance between the centerline of the sliding contact line and the actual centerline of the crane track, and the horizontal or vertical distance between brackets of the same sliding contact line, must remain consistent, with a deviation not greater than 1/1000, and the maximum should not exceed 10mm.

Inspection method: Measure on site or check installation records.

3. The sliding contact line must be securely fixed on insulators, the connections should be smooth, and the sliding surface must be free from corrosion. The connection between the sliding contact line and the conductor must be tinned or galvanized.

Inspection method: Visual inspection.

4. Insulators must be free of cracks and defects, clean, with complete gaskets between them and brackets. Brackets should be installed flat, firmly, with uniform spacing, and paint color should be uniform. The threads of connecting bolts should protrude 2-3 turns beyond the nuts.

Inspection method: Visual inspection.

5. The installation of sliding contact lines should comply with the following regulations:

(1) A 20mm gap should be left at deformation joints and maintenance sections. The ends of the sliding contact line should be smooth, and the height difference between the two ends should not exceed 1mm.

(2) For painted or colored parts, the color should be correct with no missed painting. Indicator lights should operate normally.

(3) The sliding collector should move smoothly throughout its full travel without significant sparking. Inspection method: Observe or check installation trial run records.

(4) Metal parts should have uniform anti-corrosion treatment without omissions. Inspection method: Visual inspection or review trial run records.

(5) The sliding collector should be installed flat and firmly, with a smooth sliding surface and good contact. The center of the sliding collector should not exceed the edge of the sliding contact line during travel. The slider should be flexible without jamming. Insulating parts should be intact. Inspection method: Visual and trial run inspection.

(6) Metal frames below 3.5m in height should be reliably grounded, with correct cross-section selection of grounding conductors. No missing grounding connections. Inspection method: Visual inspection.
