Busway is an indispensable wiring method in power systems
Darui Electric recommends
Busway is a new type of conductor that uses copper or aluminum as the conductor, supported by non-flammable insulation, and then installed in a metal trough. Nowadays, it has become an indispensable wiring method in electrical equipment and power systems in high-rise buildings, factories, etc. It is a power distribution device that efficiently transmits current, especially meeting the needs of increasingly tall buildings and large-scale factories for economical and reasonable wiring.
Due to the power needs of various buildings such as high-rise buildings and factories, and this need is increasing year by year, using the original circuit wiring method, i.e., the pipe-through method, brings many difficulties during construction, and when it is necessary to change the power distribution system, it is almost impossible to make it simpler. However, if busway is used, the goal can be achieved very easily, and it can also make the building more beautiful.
Busway is an ideal choice for indoor power transmission trunk lines with rated voltage below 1000V. During installation, attention should be paid to placing it correctly according to its corresponding phase sequence, number, direction, and installation marks, and then it should be matched with the adjacent busway or other devices before correct installation. So what should we pay attention to during the installation process?
For horizontal installation, attention should be paid to checking whether the whole is intact before connection. After confirmation, proceed with the connection. When perforating, there should be no sewage or other debris entering the busway interior, and the connection point should not be at the wall penetration. It should be noted that for horizontal installation, when installed on supports or hangers, it should be fixed with horizontal pressure plates, and a certain length should be reserved according to needs during installation. When the busway crosses the expansion joint or settlement joint of the building, settlement nodes need to be set. During horizontal installation, attention should also be paid to the spacing with adjacent busways.
For vertical installation, attention should be paid to the spacing from the ground, which should not be less than 60 cm, and attention should also be paid to the interval distance between floors. Do not perforate where there are floor slabs. Of course, when perforating, ensure no sewage or debris enters. When the straight-line laying length exceeds a certain distance, attention should be paid to setting expansion joints.
Maintenance and care instructions:
Warning: Live equipment can cause serious personal injury or death, so maintenance and repair operations can only be performed after cutting off the power supply.
1. Within 6 months after use, check whether the connection bolts and fixing bracket bolts are loose. After 1 year, conduct a comprehensive inspection. Thereafter, a thorough internal and external inspection must be conducted every 3 years.
