Common Accessories and Methods for Connecting Busbar Trunking

  Busbar trunking is a new type of power supply system for moving mechanical equipment, with conductors made of specially formulated aluminum profiles. Its outer protective sheath is made of special PVC material, providing insulation, with a protection rating of IP23. It offers rainproof, dustproof, and antistatic safety functions. With a simple structure, easy installation and maintenance, and durability, it is widely used for power supply to moving equipment in mines, metallurgy, chemical industry, machinery, docks, and freight yards.



       Check the composition of busbar trunking accessories, which include busbar trunking, current collectors, protective sheaths, aluminum conductors, hanging clamps, aluminum connectors, joint protective sheaths, angle steel brackets, and power inputs. Check the appearance of the busbar trunking for any bending. Check whether the joints have been treated for wear resistance, and check whether the steel strips on the conductors are pressed tightly and flatly. Check whether the grooves on the busbar trunking can fit with the screw holes on the connecting plates. If too tight to install, use a pry bar to open them, but do not open them too wide, as they may easily fall off.



       Check the current collectors, check whether the connecting parts are loose, whether the movement between parts is smooth, and whether the spring pressure is correct. Check the hanging brackets, their hardness and toughness, and the tightness of connecting parts.        According to the installation plan, design the installation position of the busbar trunking, and number the required busbars and accessories according to the design positions. Busbar M: Sometimes the busbar is segmented due to workshop length or span reasons. Generally, we should number the segmented parts for later use.





       Fix the angle steel brackets, with a distance of 1.2M for light type and 2.4M for heavy type I (light series busbar trunking A, heavy type I series busbar trunking). Put the hanging clamps on the busbar trunking (heavy type). For light type, first install the hanging clamps on the angle steel brackets with the same spacing, and one joint protective sheath for each of the two terminal joints. Connect one aluminum connector to one end of each busbar. When connecting the aluminum connector, note that only half of the aluminum connector should be inserted into the aluminum conductor, leaving the other half for connection with another aluminum conductor.
