Working Principle of C15 Trolley Wire

Mobile equipment needs to constantly change positions due to movement, and at each different position, it must be able to obtain power supply at any time, otherwise it cannot continue moving. At this point, the C15 trolley wire came into being. Several conductors are laid parallel along the running track of the mobile equipment to connect to the power supply. On the mobile equipment, a current collector that can draw power from the conductors is installed.
The C15 trolley wire device consists of a conduit, trolley wire current collector, two main components, and some auxiliary components as shown in the figure:
1. Trolley wire conduit: It is a semi-enclosed special-shaped tubular component, which is the main part of the safety trolley wire. Inside, 2-9 bare guide rails can be embedded as power supply conductors as needed. Each guide rail is insulated from each other and from the shell, ensuring the safety of power supply. It also effectively prevents electric shock accidents for maintenance personnel during live maintenance. Each conduit produced by Xinxiang Yudong is 6 meters in length and can be connected to any required length. Generally, conduits are made in straight lines, but can also be made into arc shapes according to special requirements.
2. The trolley wire current collector is a set of brush shells that run inside the conduit. The trolley wire is driven by a fork (or traction chain, etc.) installed on the power-consuming mechanism (such as traveling crane, trolley, electric hoist, etc.), making it run synchronously with the power-consuming mechanism. It transmits the electrical energy from the guide rail and trolley wire brush to the motor or other control elements. The number of poles of the current collector brush ranges from 3 to 16, corresponding to the number of guide rails in the conduit.
