Principle Analysis and Description of Sliding Contact Line Expansion Section

    The expansion section is designed based on the linear deformation (profile extrusion and butt joint) caused by thermal expansion and the power outage caused by cold contraction (profile shrinkage) of the sliding contact line when it works under different temperature environments. It is composed of two movable sections directly connected in series with the main body of the sliding contact line. The basic principle is that it consists of a relative static sliding piece and a dynamic sliding piece stacked and inserted to form a transition body that matches the cross-section of the sliding contact line body, allowing free linear movement when the ambient temperature of the sliding contact line changes. Due to the stacking and insertion of the static and dynamic sliding pieces, no matter how they expand or contract, they can provide a linear transition plane for the carbon brush of the current collector, thereby overcoming the faults caused by early expansion joints, such as narrow expansion range, difficulty in crossing the carbon brush of the current collector causing power outage, and reduced contact surface causing arcing.

    Since both ends of the static and dynamic sliding pieces are directly connected to the sliding line body, and two sliding guide rods are also set to guide the static and dynamic sliding pieces through insertion, it has good coaxiality. At the same time, two soft cables parallel to the sliding contact pieces are set above both ends of the static and dynamic sliding pieces, thereby stabilizing and increasing the current-carrying capacity of the expansion section, so that the entire sliding contact line system will not affect the rated current-carrying capacity of the entire line due to the installation of the expansion section. The adjustable expansion range of the sliding contact line expansion section can be adjusted between 0~150mm, which can absorb the expansion distance caused by the expansion coefficient when the sliding contact line guide rail body material is aluminum, the expansion point distance is 150m/section, and the ambient temperature is -40℃ to +115℃, and enable the current collector to pass smoothly without affecting the power supply quality.
