Mobile equipment needs to constantly change positions due to movement. At each different position, the mobile equipment must be able to obtain power supply at any time, otherwise it cannot continue moving. At this time, (U10 type busbar trolley) busbar trolley came into being. Several conductors are laid parallel along the running track of the mobile equipment, connected to the power supply. On the mobile equipment, a current collector that can draw power from the conductors is installed. Thus, when the equipment moves, the current collector moves synchronously with the equipment and obtains power from the conductors at any time to provide it to the equipment, enabling the equipment to continue moving. The device composed of these conductors and current collectors is called a busbar trolley.
Power supply (U10 type busbar trolley) busbar trolley device consists of three main components: protective cover, conductor, and current collector, as well as some auxiliary components.
1. Protective cover: It is a semi-enclosed tubular component and the main part of the busbar trolley. Its interior can be embedded with 3-16 bare guide rails as power supply wires according to needs. The guide rails are insulated from each other, ensuring the safety of power supply. It also effectively prevents electric shock accidents for maintenance personnel during live maintenance. The length of each conduit produced by the manufacturer varies and can be connected to any required length. Ordinary conduits are made in straight shapes, but can also be made into arc shapes according to special requirements.
2. Conductor: The main material is copper. According to its cross-sectional area, common ones are 10 square millimeters, 16 square millimeters, and 25 square millimeters.
3. Current collector is a set of brush holders running inside the conduit, driven by a fork (or traction chain, etc.) installed on the power-consuming mechanism (such as traveling crane, trolley, electric hoist, etc.), making it run synchronously with the power-consuming mechanism. It transmits electrical energy through the guide rails and brushes to the motor or other control components. The number of poles of the current collector brushes ranges from 3 to 16, corresponding to the number of poles of the guide rails in the conduit.
