Service life of current collectors
Current collectors are very important accessories in the sliding contact line power supply system. They have complex shapes and high technical requirements, and are usually used in conjunction with sliding contact lines. Different sliding contact lines use different current collectors. For example, the current collector used for single-pole H-type sliding contact lines is called a single-pole current collector, which is divided into light and heavy types;
The current collector used for multi-pole sliding contact lines is called a multi-pole carbon brush current collector, usually with four-pole brushes and eight-pole brushes, depending on the number of electrodes of the multi-pole sliding contact line; the current collector used for high-temperature steel body sliding contact lines is called a steel body current collector, which is divided into double-brush steel body current collectors and single-brush steel body current collectors. The purpose of the current collector is to directly contact the conductor of the sliding contact line through the copper brush, transmitting current to the electrical equipment, thereby enabling the electrical equipment to operate smoothly. Therefore, the quality of the current collector directly determines whether the electrical equipment can efficiently receive electrical energy and move. The service life of a current collector is normally half a year to one year, and its working nature determines its characteristics as a wearing part.
