Electric Track Flat Car Track flat car: It is an electric rail-mounted in-plant transport vehicle, solving the product transportation between spans within the plant. Also known as track flat car,
cross-span flat car, trolley, electric flat car. It has the advantages of simple structure, easy use, easy maintenance, large load capacity, and low pollution. Widely used in machine manufacturing and metallurgical factories, as a means for cooperating with cranes within workshops to transport heavy objects across spans. The KP series electric flat car has a low height, reinforced tabletop, easy modification, and convenient maintenance. It can be divided into KPC, KPJ, KPT, KPD, KPX, KPDX series.
The KPC series electric flat car is a safety sliding contact line powered electric flat car. It involves digging a trench beside the track, installing safety sliding contact lines in the trench, and covering the trench with cover plates hinged on one side to the ground. When the electric flat car runs, it lifts the cover plates through a trench flip plate device installed on the car, which contains cables connected to the safety sliding contact line collector. After the electric flat car passes, the cover plates automatically return to the ground. It ensures that trackless vehicles can pass smoothly. The trench flip plate sliding contact line type electric flat car is not limited by running distance.
The KPJ series is a reel-powered electric flat car, powered by a cable reel with AC 380V supply. The cable reel is of a hysteresis coupling type, ensuring uniform cable tension and resistance to damage. AC 380V provides power to the YZ crane and metallurgical motor on the flat car, which drives the car. When the flat car runs, the cable reel automatically winds or unwinds the cable. Affected by the reel's power supply length, the maximum running distance is generally less than 200m.
The KPT series electric flat car is a tow cable powered electric flat car. One end of the cable is connected to the ground power supply, and it is introduced into the control box through cable trolleys and traction steel wire, then provides power to the YZ motor on the flat car to drive it. However, the running distance cannot be too long, generally not exceeding 50m, as longer distances may easily cause cable entanglement.
The KPD series is a 36V single-phase (three-phase) low-voltage track-powered electric flat car, powered by track sliding contact lines. The ground step-down transformer control cabinet reduces single-phase (three-phase) AC 380V to single-phase (three-phase) 36V, which is fed to the flat car via track sliding contact lines, and then boosted by the onboard step-up transformer to single-phase (three-phase) AC 380V. It provides power to the single-phase capacitor motor (or YZ crane and metallurgical motor for three-phase). Since no cable is used, it is safe and reliable, not afraid of heat or impact, does not hinder cross transportation, and is easy to achieve remote control and automation, greatly facilitating plant transportation layout. However, its track construction requirements are higher, requiring track insulation, and copper bar compensation lines should be added to the track beyond a certain running distance. When the running distance is longer, the number of step-down transformers must be increased.
Since the starting current flowing through the track during KPD flat car startup is very large (up to 1000A), there is a significant voltage drop at the end of the track, causing difficulty in starting the single-phase capacitor motor. Therefore, the maximum load capacity of single-phase KPD flat cars is 50 tons. For loads above 50 tons, three-phase 36V low-voltage track power supply is used with YZ crane and metallurgical motors.
The product KPDZ inherits the advantages of the KPD flat car while avoiding the original model's shortcomings of difficult starting and short running distance. The KPDZ flat car uses an onboard rectifier device to rectify the single-phase (or three-phase) AC 36V from the track into DC 36V, driving a DC traction motor to move the flat car. Compared with AC motors, DC motors have the advantages of being less prone to burnout, having high starting torque, and strong overload capacity. Even under undervoltage conditions due to track insulation aging or other reasons, it can still work reliably.
The KPX series is a battery-powered electric flat car, powered by batteries. The battery provides power to the DC traction motor, which drives the flat car. Compared with AC motors, DC motors have the advantages of being less prone to burnout, having high starting torque, and strong overload capacity. The running distance is not limited. It has greater safety performance and maneuverability and flexibility than the KPJ and KPD series flat cars, with unlimited running distance and no insulation requirements for the track, making construction convenient and low-cost.
