According to information from Hema Fresh, to facilitate residents' vegetable shopping, the Hema store at Shilihe in Beijing has launched the "reserved group buying" delivery service.
It is understood that more than 150 residential communities near temporary control areas such as Shilihe and Panjiayuan in Chaoyang District have become the first batch of communities served by the "reserved group buying" service. Since its operation four days ago, the efficiency of the delivery service area has been 5 times that of previous scattered orders.
"Online orders in temporary control areas have increased significantly, and the quantity of goods purchased per customer is several times higher than before. In addition to vegetables, meat, eggs, and milk, there has also been a notable increase in sales of flowers and crayfish recently," said the store manager of Hema Shilihe. The delivery efficiency has been greatly improved. In terms of transportation capacity, it will also be tilted towards temporary control communities based on their status. "A delivery person from Hema Shilihe introduced that one vehicle can deliver orders for one community. Multiple processes such as picking, sorting, disinfection, and packaging have also improved service capacity and efficiency."
It is reported that Hema will adjust services at stores near newly added control areas according to the situation of Beijing's epidemic prevention and control. While ensuring the stocking of goods, all 43 Hema stores in Beijing carry out disinfection and protection work multiple times a day, and all employees undergo multiple rounds of nucleic acid testing and multiple daily temperature checks. Delivery personnel do "antigen test in the morning and nucleic acid test in the evening" every day, and disinfect after each delivery. At the same time, contactless delivery is carried out as much as possible to reduce contact. All Hema delivery personnel are also equipped with N95 masks and other supplies.
