    How to install single-pole trolley wire

    Single-pole trolley wire installation is undoubtedly a key issue. How is the single-pole trolley wire installed? What should be noted during installation?

    Installation steps for single-pole trolley wire

    1) Install the trolley wire brackets. Use welding or expansion bolts to install the angle steel brackets on the track beam at specified intervals. The installation of brackets is the key to the quality of trolley wire installation and an important part to ensure the flatness and usability of the trolley wire. It must be ensured that the brackets are flat along the entire line, the extension dimensions of the angle steel are consistent, and the angle steel should be parallel and not skewed. The plane of the angle steel with elongated holes should be on a horizontal plane, and the factory holes should be in a line. Generally, a steel wire can be used for leveling and alignment. The distance between two brackets for light trolley wire is <1.5m

    2. Install the hanging brackets on the angle steel brackets. Do not tighten the nuts at this time; tighten them after the trolley wire is installed and adjusted. Install the joint protective cover for the trolley wire. Insert the trolley wire into the slot of the hanging bracket to secure it (the hanging clamp for heavy wire is already installed on the conductor). After installing the trolley wire, level it and tighten the nuts of the hanging brackets. Insert the joint into the other end of the first group of conductors, and install the second group of trolley wire in the same way. Use the joint to connect the two trolley wires, install the joint protective cover, level the single-pole trolley wire, and tighten. Install all trolley wires in this manner. Note that the joints should be smooth with a gap of <0.5mm.

    3. Install the power input section.

    Install the power input section according to the designed power supply method. Be sure to tighten it, then install the protective cover and the fixing clamp for the protective sleeve. Install the fixing clamps according to the design plan, with two clamps per line and end protective sleeves. Install end caps at both ends of the trolley wire, which can also be installed before hanging.

    Inspection. After the entire trolley wire is installed, it should be carefully inspected. The trolley wire should be straight and level, with consistent spacing, and should be parallel to the crane track, with a deviation of ≤5mm. The suspension should be tightened, and the joints should be smooth.

    4. Install the single-pole current collector and its bracket. After the trolley wire is installed, the current collector can be installed.

    The centerline of the current collector bracket must be at a distance of H=155mm from the lower plane of the lower protective sleeve of the trolley wire. That is, when the contact shoe of the current collector is placed into the √-shaped groove of the trolley wire, the connecting rod of the current collector must be horizontal. The M seat must be installed horizontally and parallel to the trolley wire. The tip of the √-shaped groove of the trolley wire must be in the same vertical plane as the vertical centerline of the current collector.

    Connect the cable of the current collector to the cable of the electrical equipment. Note that before wiring, check whether the motor's insulation requirements meet the standards as usual. If any abnormality is found, repair or replace it.

    5. Connect the power supply. Firmly connect the power cable to the power input section, ensuring it is pressed tightly.

    Test run. First, conduct a no-load test run, moving back and forth several times. If there is no abnormality, stop immediately, cut off the power, inspect, and troubleshoot.
