How to Install the Busway of the Sliding Contact Line - Yangzhou Darui

  Darui Electric recommends for you

The sliding contact line is a "special wire" that provides power to moving and rotating equipment. Since moving equipment needs to constantly change positions, at each different position, the moving equipment must be able to obtain power at any time, otherwise it cannot continue moving. At this point, the sliding contact line came into being. Several conductors are laid parallel along the running track of the moving equipment and connected to the power supply. On the moving equipment, a current collector that can draw power from the conductors is installed. In this way, when the equipment moves, the current collector moves synchronously with the equipment and draws power from the conductors at any time to supply the equipment, allowing it to continue moving. The device composed of these conductors and the current collector is called a sliding contact line. So how to install the busway of the sliding contact line? Below, the editor will introduce it to you.

The busway of the sliding contact line is used to house fixed or movable branch devices. It is used on movable production lines to supply power to motors or handheld tools that move with the production line, or for operators to move back and forth within a range of 5m to complete specific operations. The busway can only be installed in open and visible places.

If there is a passage and the following conditions are met, it is allowed to be installed behind the distribution panel. Except for single lighting fixtures, no overcurrent devices are installed on the busway. The space behind the panel is not used as air conditioning space. The busway is completely enclosed and non-ventilated. The installation of the busway allows for easy maintenance of joints and accessories between sections. The busway should not be installed in places prone to severe mechanical damage, corrosive vapors, or where cranes load and unload goods. It is a special device manufactured for specific purposes.

The sliding contact line busway can be installed in hazardous places, outdoors, or in damp places. The support spacing of the busway should not exceed 10m. For special devices, the support spacing of horizontal busways can reach 25m, and the support spacing of vertical busways can reach 40m.
