Safe busbar quality measurement standards

Darui Electric recommends for you

Busbar is not only used for busbar indicator lights, but also widely used in other industries and fields. Safe busbar not only has good quality, but also ensures safety to a certain extent. If you want to purchase safe busbar for busbar indicator lights, there are many safe busbars on the market. So from what aspects should we measure the quality of safe busbar?

Safe busbar characteristics:

  1. Conductivity: The better the conductivity, the greater the power provided.

  2. Heat dissipation: During long-term operation, the conductor inevitably generates heat. Only with reasonable heat dissipation can deformation be avoided.

  3. Low density, easy installation.

  4. Low expansion coefficient, not easily affected by temperature changes.

  5. Corrosion resistance, longer service life.

  6. Easy to process and weld, more convenient for maintenance and repair.

Considering the above aspects comprehensively, the most suitable material is aluminum alloy. From a resource perspective, aluminum is the most abundant metal on Earth after hydrogen and oxygen, and China ranks first in the world in aluminum reserves. Therefore, in terms of raw materials, the cost is relatively lower. Copper has better conductivity than aluminum, so it is more energy-efficient, but the cost also increases accordingly. Therefore, most materials used for making safe busbar now are aluminum alloy. If there are special needs, copper can be used as the conductor, but further improvements to safe busbar are still needed in this regard.

The power supply safe busbar is composed of H-type aluminum alloy guide rail with pressed V-type stainless steel sliding contact strip, PVC insulating protective shell, external collector, suspension frame, sliding guide rail, connector, maintenance section, and expansion device. After installation, there are no exposed conductive parts. This product is widely used in metallurgy, power, freight yards, chemical industry, papermaking, lifting, high-frequency use, and harsh environments due to its reasonable design, easy maintenance, and safety reliability.

The power supply safe busbar device consists of a conduit, a current collector, and some auxiliary components. The conduit is a semi-enclosed special-shaped tubular component, which is the main part of the safe busbar. Inside it, 2-9 bare guide rails can be embedded as power supply conductors as needed. Each guide rail is insulated from each other and from the shell, ensuring the safety of power supply. It also effectively prevents electric shock accidents for maintenance personnel during live maintenance. Each conduit produced by our factory is 4 meters long and can be connected to any required length. Generally, conduits are made straight, but they can also be made into arc shapes according to special requirements.

The safe busbar current collector is a set of brush housings that run inside the conduit, driven by a fork (or traction chain, etc.) installed on the electrical mechanism (such as overhead crane, trolley, electric hoist, etc.), making it run synchronously with the electrical mechanism. It transmits electrical energy through the guide rail and brushes to the motor or other control elements. The number of poles of the current collector brushes ranges from 3 to 16, corresponding to the number of guide rails in the conduit.

When purchasing busbar, you can consider its performance, service life, and usage conditions, and take all aspects into comprehensive consideration. Of course, before purchasing, you should still understand its components and working principles. A thorough understanding will definitely benefit you.
