Speaking of cables, everyone is certainly familiar with them. In industrial and some high-current equipment, cables are often used for power supply. So, do you know about cable slide contact lines? Cable slide contact lines are also called cable slide lines, safety slide contact lines, etc., and are used in mobile power supply and signal transmission systems of lifting and transport machinery such as ports, docks, and railway freight yards.
Cable slide lines consist of three main parts: flat cables, four-wheel trolleys for carrying cables, and guide rails. Flat cables use non-flammable materials and can be used indoors and outdoors and in places exposed to oil stains. They have certain weather resistance. Compared with round cables, they have advantages such as smaller bending radius and longer service life.
The rails are formed by cold-rolling cold-rolled steel plates in one pass to ensure the accuracy of the rail cross-section dimensions, replacing angle steel and other conductive methods that are unsafe, heavy, and prone to short circuits caused by dust accumulation indoors or ice formation outdoors, which affects use. The rail unit length is 4~6m, connected by couplers, and can be extended to any length as needed.
During the installation of cable slide lines, the starting end of the flat cable (connected to the on-site junction box) is fixed to the starting end fixer of the guide rail. Then, according to the space allowed for operation on site, appropriate intervals (1-2.5mm) are set and sequentially fixed to the four-wheel trolleys carrying the cable. The end of the cable (connected to the power supply) is fixed to the last trolley (traction vehicle). Through the spring on the pulling vehicle, the trolley moves back and forth, and through the dragging of the cable (if the length exceeds 20m, consider using a traction rope to prevent the cable from being subjected to tensile force), all trolleys are driven to slide freely at any speed in the rail. The guide rail is easy to install, requires no debugging, and has no contact point for power supply, making it safe and reliable.
