Components and Principle of Steel Body Sliding Contact Line

     The steel body sliding contact line is composed of a copper conductor and a steel structural framework. It has two structural types: combined and composite. It is supported by high-strength special insulators and installed or welded on the brackets of the track beam, thus forming a mobile power supply system for various crane and lifting equipment.

Components:

　  1. Sliding line: A sliding contact line is a system used for mobile power supply (simply understood as a wire for sliding contact). Sliding contact line, scientifically known as sliding conductor, full name is safe sliding power transmission device. 

　　2. Insulator: Commonly known as a porcelain bottle, it is an insulator used to support the wire. During operation, it should be able to withstand the vertical load and horizontal tension of the wire. 

　　3. Current collector: It receives electricity from the sliding line by contacting it. The current collector is the carrier for the operation of the crane.

      Working principle: Mobile equipment needs to constantly change positions due to movement. At each different position, the mobile equipment must be able to obtain power at any time, otherwise it cannot continue moving. At this time, the sliding contact line came into being. Several conductors are laid parallel along the operating track of the mobile equipment and connected to the power supply. On the mobile equipment, a current collector that can draw electricity from the conductors is installed. In this way, when the equipment moves, the current collector moves synchronously with the equipment and obtains power from the conductors at any time to provide it to the equipment, so that the equipment can continue moving. The device composed of these conductors and current collectors is called a sliding contact line.
