How to reasonably use and install the slide contact line current collector

   Slide Contact Line Current Collector is the main device for picking up electrical energy on the collector side in the slide contact line system. It directly conducts electrical energy to the electrical equipment through the sliding contact between the collector brush and the guide rail, thereby achieving mobile power supply for the system. The multi-pole current collector consists of a mechanical tension device and a collector brush that directly slides in contact with the guide rail.

  1. The bracket should be treated with anti-corrosion, continuously welded, securely installed, and the positions of installation holes should be consistent. 

  2. The bracket spacing for single-line types below 300A is ≤1.5m, for above 400A is ≤3m, for multi-line contact slide contact line types is 1.0-1.5m, for conduit types is 1.0-1.5m, and for cable trolley types it is flexible, determined according to specific conditions, but the minimum should not be less than 1m and the maximum not more than 6m. 

  3. The position of suspension parts should be correct, securely installed, and the quantity should meet requirements. 

  4. Main body of the slide contact line. The gap between the protective shell and the conductor should be ≤2mm; the allowable deviation from the track center height is <±15mm, the allowable longitudinal deviation from the track center is ≤±15mm, and the twist should be <15mm/10m 

  5. The number of expansion joints should meet regulations; the gap distance should accommodate the theoretical expansion amount caused by the maximum temperature difference at the installation site. 

  6. The square steel bracket of the current collector should be firmly welded, and the center line should be perpendicular to the slide contact line with an allowable deviation of ±3mm; the dimensions between the square steel bracket and the slide contact line should ensure that the movable arm of the current collector is parallel to the main body of the slide contact line with an allowable deviation of ±3mm; the sliding of the current collector on the plane of the slide contact line should be smooth and meet the specified pressure. 

  7. Fasteners. The tightening torque of the fastening nuts should comply with the manufacturer's recommended values. 

  8. Power inlet wire. The incoming wire should be firmly fixed and should not bear pressure. 

  9. If temporary wires are used, attention should be paid to checking whether the phase sequence of the wires is reversed when restoring normal power, and the phase sequence should be correctly adjusted.
